As you probably know, we are giving away a guitar every few months as a way of saying thanks! Were in the process of figuring out which guitars to give away for our third contest. Its a difficult choice, theres a lot of different types of guitars on the market. In this discussion, were just going to ask you for your suggestions:)

Which guitars should we give away?

HINT: People that are active in the forums, groups, just might "accidentally" have a higher chance of winning :)

First contest winners: Daniel Johnson Member #109 Won the March guitar giveaway! Congrats!

Second contest winners: Rebellion Soldier and Dan MacLachlan!

It looks like the next give-away is right around the corner! Keep giving us suggestions:) Thanks!

The only catch to the contest is we are limited to using UPS or Fed Ex so if they don't ship to your location we are unable to use other shipping companies. The reason for this is we wont ship anything that isn't insured. UPS and Fed Ex are the two companies that offer shipping insurance. This is to ensure that your prize arrives in one piece:)

Feel free to contact me or Keith if you have any questions. If you don't win this time around, there will be many more give-aways in the future! Good luck to all of you!

Previous Prizes:

A Fender Telecaster

Great suggestion; I'm a huge Tele fan! I'm a very big fan of the semi-hollow thin line with hum-bucking pickups. whats your favorite model Tele?

peace.

it depends what the price range is.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the reply, rather then getting one really expensive guitar, were going to get a few moderately priced guitars. The winner can pick the guitar they want. Most likely in the three to four hundred range. I let you know if theres any changes or updates! thanks.

If the price range is around $300 to $400, and if you're thinking of a couple of guitars, you might want to think of offering the option of a solidbody (maybe a Squier Telecaster or low-end Fender Telecaster) or a hollow-body (maybe an Epiphone Dot or Ibanez Artcore).

Great suggestions Chris:)
I love the artcore series. And you hit the nail right on the head; we want to have different types of guitars so the winner can choose one that will work the best for their style or preference. It would be the best to have multiple choices.

I like that idea. That way everyone is happy. :)

Drew, How and where do you get the guitars? Are they promos from links to the site?

Reply to This

nope. we buy them from online stores usually. I check them out in my studio to make sure they are properly set-up and in one piece. I also usually slap a new set of strings on them, and ship them off to the winner. We would like to give away even nicer guitars in the future, and were currently working on that:)

You buy them with your own funds?
