Almost everyone can remember their first song, the first song they learned how to play. I thought it would be interesting to hear about everyone's first song.

Mine was a song called "Old Apartment" by the Barenaked Ladies. It was a pretty simple song with major chords like G and C, etc.

I must warn you be careful if you google this band, you might get some search results that you don't want to see:) Just add the word tab, or make sure you have the words barenaked together:)

The first song that I really tried successfully to learn all the way through was "Heart Of Gold" by Neil Young. Pretty basic but still a great song.

My first song learned was "All This Time," by Sting, on "Soul Cages." I have always appreciated how great a bass player he is, he being my earlier inspiration to learn to play the electric bass. Relatively easy start to the song, but the build to the bass line has its challenges for a learner... ;-)
