This thread will give us the opportunity to express our love for various amps. I play many different styles of music, but I have been attracted toward tube amplifiers for a long time. Theres many I could post in here that I have loved. I'm going to kick it off with my baby, a Mesa Boogie Studio 22. Enjoy!

This is a mid eighties all tube combo amp with a 12 inch speaker. Its only twenty watts, and its loud as hell. Mine came with a 12' black widow speaker, I liked it, but it wasnt quite warm enough so I put in a 12' Celestion Green back. Now shes as smooth and warm. I still have the Black widow, I put it into another cab powered by a peavey solid state from the late eighties, and it sounds great!

The Cornell Romany Plus 10 watt amp.

The Cornell Romany Plus - it's a 10 watt, 1x12 combo with reverb. If you like Albert King, Robben Ford, Larry Carlton, Gary Moore, Stevie Ray Vaughan, John Mayer etc then you'll love the Romany Plus! Hand built in homeland England. Although it's only 10 watt it's got awsome tone, it's a great practice amp and can be used for smaller gigs on its own but can always be mic-ed up and put through a PA for larger gigs.

Thats convenient, Serves as a preamp and pluggs directly into your mixer.
How many amp emulations are you able to get with this baby?

So through the pod you page through one at a time
Like you do on a Line 6 Amp, and using the program
you have drop down list and scroll bars .

Nothing like a tube amp. The only amp made for the Blues. A 20 watt tube amp puts out as much punch as a 60 watt transistor. Maybe a little more. My favorite guitar amp is a Fender Super Reverb. The ultimate Blues amp. Messa Boogie is a killer rock amp. Nasty distortion.
Rock ON.

I use a Line 6 Spider 212 and unlike a transistor based amp tone i find that the spider get very close in simulating the different types of tube responses."Tubetone amp software" I absolutely love the quality, the warmth and tonality of this amp. I have 6 amp models to choose from. This model simulates "50s Fender bassman,'60's Fender blackface Delux, '65 Marshall JTM-45 Bluesbreaker, Budda Twinmaster , '68 Marshal plexi, Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifierto great precision and i can make my own unique sounds also!!!!!!! I can get all these tones without buying all these amps! I love the rich jazz tones i can produce I can get a great twangy blues and also i can get an insane metal tone as well. I love this amp and if get a chance to play one at a music store do it!!

Lately, I have been recommending this amp to my students; the Fender Super Champ. Its in the $300 price range which is a hell of a deal for a 20 watt all tube amp with effects. Plus it sounds great and has a line out for recording. It may not be loud enough to rock a large venue, but the line out will make your sound guy happy:)
