I tried searching but could not find anything on here about building your own guitar from scratch (electric). Mostly how to take the guts from a beat up throw away and build and customize a new body and update it. Thanks

Thanks Larry, Long * Mcquade's turn around time is about 2 weeks down here. They unfortunately don't come as highly recommended as 12th. Fret.

LONG & MCQUADE USUALLY DOES GREAT WORK--AT LEAST HERE IN OTTAWA--PRETTY GOOD TURNAROUND TIME. CHECK OUT YOUR LONG & MCQUADE

That's what I said when I heard the 8 week turn around.
I was expecting 3 to 4 weeks as they (12th Fret) is always busy. 8 weeks is absurd I know!
There are other places in my area that have a shorter turn around, however don't come as highly recommended.
I "have" to believe it's worth it for a good guitar.
