Simply Amazing....

Today I got a message from a member saying that the contest was a let down because the highest point member didn't win, and they are leaving the community. Are you serious? I gave a major advantage to the members that were putting in the extra effort, some people had 5 tickets out of 60 -70 tickets... What the heck else are we supposed to... Give guitars to everyone?

We have already given away 5 or so guitars in less than 8 months. Find another guitar community that is doing anything remotely c… Continue

Thank you so much. I'm trying to motivate myself to at least be as good as I used to be 25-30 years ago and also learn more in the process. Thanks for the site and the means to continue learning in a great online community!

Thanks! I like the sight so far. I had checked out some videos before, but never signed up. I have had my guitar for 5 or 6 years but never really got serious. Just messed around a little bit. But now I really want to learn how to play.

Only about two years. I've learned a few arpeggios, tremelo etc..but I need to learn some flamenco scales to blend some lead into my chord progressions

Thanks. I haven't been playing for too long. I stumbled onto your youtube page when I was looking for the best way to tune my guitar. I found the video very helpful and figured "What the hell?" Join and get all the free help I can. Plus chances to win guitars? What could be better? -Brandon

Thanks for the welcome Keith, Great site. Information is in the right amount per lesson for me. I'm one of those who likes to cement one new thing at a time before ingesting another one. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the welcome, Keith. As a new and flegling, aspiring guitar player, perhaps you can tell me what types of guitar to consider when buying. I've looked primarily at acoustic-electric and semi-acoustic guitars, but am still undecided. Perhaps you have some suggestions for someone 45+ and looking to get back into playing guitar after not having much success at the age of 12... ;-) I've studied the Ibanez guitars until I'm cross-eyed, and I do like them...

Cheers!

Hi Keith! Wow! Thanks for the message. I was living in Madrid for a year up until 2 weeks ago. Didn't really have an interest in learning to speak Spanish. However, I thought it'd be cooler to learn a different type of "language"... music. I bought a Spanish guitar (with three nylon strings) and started teaching myself via Youtube. It was difficult at first. Then I found GPU and never looked back. I've been playing for about 1 1/2 months now. I'm a newbie. I wish I had someone to correct my fingers, though. The videos are helpful. I love flamenco music and I can't wait to be good at it. If you have more beginner flamenco stuff, please send it my way. You're great!
