Simply Amazing....

Today I got a message from a member saying that the contest was a let down because the highest point member didn't win, and they are leaving the community. Are you serious? I gave a major advantage to the members that were putting in the extra effort, some people had 5 tickets out of 60 -70 tickets... What the heck else are we supposed to... Give guitars to everyone?

Hello Keith: Thanks for the welcome, I have enjoyed being a new member of GPU, I have received a warm welcome from the members. I played bass and rhythm guitar in a garage band back in the 70's. I got married when I was 19, then the kids came along and I just stopped playing. I wish I would have made time for music. After 30 years or so my wonderful wife of 36 years, Laurie has encouraged me start playing again. My fingers are a little rusty but the video lessons are so easy and fun to learn. I watched the "Silent Night" video and had fun learning the single note and chord style. Now I want to learn some blues licks as well as some blue grass. I still have the basics in these old fingers and brain, I just need to watch and learn. I appreciate experts like yourself and others who take the time to teach the joy of making music with people like me who can't afford lessons. GPU is more fun anyway.
