There's lots of good info on guitarplayeru. But, lots of it is hidden in pages of chat. So I thought I'd start this group where you can either post info on resources that you've found really useful or find info that you might be able to use.
One of the great things about GPU is connecting with other guitarists. Sometimes you just want to chat about something that is "off topic" from the groups and discussions you're in. Why not do it here.

Hey Peter, I guess we are from the same era. I am some older than you, I was born in 51. No, there is nothing wrong with that era, and music. It looks like from your photo you had performed before on stage. So, a video wouldn't be nothing for you to make. I hope to see you round in the groups.
yeah I really do want to post up some vids but i got to go and get a camera and recording stuff. I'm also really busy with a lot of other stuff like getting into college, my teaching job, my band, and getting ready for local gigs.
my version of Ride like the wind has two different guitars track to it. one plays the original chords (leaving out the 9ths and minor 7ths) and the other plays the root-fifth power chords of the same manner. It gives it a more full, heavy and chorus like sound. The solo is completely different. a lot of cool things
awesome man. thats some good stuff. I'm mostly into the stuff from the 80's like Priest, Maiden, Malmsteen, hair metal and such, but i love going back and playing stuff from the 70's like purple, bad company, queen, Ted nugent, kiss.
I'm actually working on a cover of Christoper Cross's "Ride like the Wind" making it real heavy and cool with some new licks. All I got to do now is find someone that can sing it lol.
oh man those are all the places I plan to go. Thanks I totally agree with philosophy, India, Thailand , and Europe is where i really want to go but also africa and egypt as well.
you seem like you've been playing guitar for a long time. what kind of stuff do u play?
Yeah so many people tell me that. The funny thing is that can be very mature for my age, but sometimes the inner 10-year-old comes out. My artwork and music are really based off each other.
So i see your from Australia. That's really cool. Once i get into college i 'm thinking about studying abroad over there. Have you always lived there?
